Chelsea & Arsenal handed boost in signing Nico Williams
Chelsea and Arsenal have been handed a big boost in signing Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams, according to The Athletic.
Williams was a top target for the Premier League duo last year, but the Spaniard was reluctant to consider a move abroad.
He was waiting for a transfer approach from Barcelona, but the La Liga giants decided to land Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig instead.
It is now reported that Williams is more open to moving to the Premier League as he may not get regular starts at Barcelona.
Lamine Yamal and Raphinha have been in sensational form out wide and William is unlikely to displace the duo in the near future.
The news is a huge boost for Chelsea as well as Arsenal. The Blues are loaded with attacking option, but they are looking for more quality.
Arsenal could stand a better chance of signing Williams. They could guarantee him a starting role on the left side of their attack.
