Jamie Carragher claims Chelsea star is better than Gianfranco Zola

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes Cole Palmer has already exceeded Gianfranco Zola's legacy at Chelsea in just 18 months.

The Blues jumped to 31 points after 15 Premier League games following an impressive 4-2 comeback win over Tottenham Hotspur from two goals down.

Palmer was the star of the show with two goals from the penalty spot. The Englishman also assisted Enzo Fernandez's sublime strike.

Speaking after the game, Carragher said that Palmer has not been playing for the best team in the division, but has made a huge mark.

He said: "He hasn't been playing for the best team [in the Premier League]. When you look at Chelsea over the years.

"You look at flair players you look at Gianfranco Zola. He has probably done more than Zola already in his 18 months at the club."

Chelsea have moved within four points of league leaders Liverpool after beating Spurs, but the Reds have a game in hand at Everton.
