Enzo Maresca explains why Noni Madueke was absent vs Fulham

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has explained the reason behind Noni Madueke's absence against Fulham in the Premier League.
The Blues were second best against the Cottagers at Stamford Bridge. Cole Palmer opened the scoring with a moment of individual brilliance.
However, Chelsea were never in command of the derby and paid the price with two late goals conceded in the 82nd and 95th minute.
Speaking after the 2-1 loss, Maresca said that Madueke was not ill before the derby and it was a 'technical decision' to leave him out of the squad.
Madueke had a good start to the campaign for the Blues and he became an undisputed starter after his splendid hat-trick against Wolves away.
However, his performances have drastically dipped in recent weeks and it is unsurprising that he is no longer in contention to make the squad.
Madueke will be aiming to impress Maresca in training over the coming days ahead of Monday's Premier League clash at Ipswich Town.
