'Special player': Ruben Amorim praises Man Utd star after win vs Ipswich Town
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has heaped praise on Bruno Fernandes following the club's 3-2 Premier League win over Ipswich Town at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils returned to winning ways in the top-flight against the Tractor Boys last night. They were down to 10 men in the 43rd minute, but managed to seal a 3-2 win.
Fernandes was hugely instrumental. He made a big contribution in the lead-up to the first two goals and also provided an assist for Harry Maguire's winner in the second half.
As a result, the Portuguese was handed the man of the match award. Amorim was also pleased and said that Fernandes is a special player and very important to the team.
He said: "Bruno is a special player... always available, that character, I really like the character. He's a very important player for us. When it is difficult, he is always there."
Fernandes had a slow start to the campaign for the Red Devils, but he has impressed in recent months. The 30-year-old has 23 goal contributions in all competitions this season.
