Arsenal midfielder expected to leave on a free transfer
Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is expected to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the campaign, according to Charles Watts.
The Ghana international has been a key player for the Gunners this campaign and he has managed to stay injury free over the course of the season.
Despite this, the club have no plans of negotiating a renewal with the midfielder. He is expected to depart when his deal expires on June 30.
Partey is attracting interest from three European clubs including Atletico Madrid, who are open to reuniting him with manager Diego Simeone.
Simeone has his sights on landing a defensive midfielder and he has given the green light to land Partey on a free transfer agreement this summer.
Alongside Partey, Jorginho is also expected to head for the exit door. The Italian's deal also expires on June 30. He is speaking with Flamengo.
The ex-Chelsea man will pen a pre-contract in the coming days.
