Arsenal set to battle Chelsea for Victor Osimhen?

Arsenal are set to compete with Chelsea for the signing of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen during the summer transfer window.

The Gunners are expected to sign a marquee centre-forward at the end of the campaign and Osimhen has been identified as a top target.

Caught Offside claim that the north London giants will open talks with the player's representatives soon to discuss a possible transfer.

However, the Gunners won't be alone in the pursuit and could face competition from the Blues, who are also long-term admirers.

The west London outfit were keen on bringing Osimhen to the Premier League last summer, but could not convince him in the end.

Osimhen was reluctant to accept a big pay-cut to join the Blues and it remains to be seen whether the club will meet his demands this time.

The striker will reportedly have a release clause worth £63m in his contract. It will become active when the Serie A transfer window reopens.
