Liverpool want Spanish star to replace Virgil van Dijk?

Liverpool have their sights on landing Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen as a replacement for Virgil van Dijk this summer, according to Sport.
The Merseyside giants are preparing for the departure of Van Dijk. The Dutchman's contract expires on June 30 and he has yet to agree fresh terms.
The Reds have identified Huijsen as his potential successor. The Spaniard has a release clause worth £50 million in his contract with the Cherries.
Chelsea are also interested in landing the centre-back, but the Reds should have an advantage, considering their progress made under Arne Slot.
However, their situation could be different if Real Madrid join the race.
Huijsen has personally spoken about his dream of playing for Los Blancos. If they were to make an offer, the Reds could miss out on the defender.
Ajax's Jorell Hato is reportedly an alternative on the club's radar. Borussia Dortmund's Nico Schlotterbeck is also under consideration, as per Bild.
