Arsenal to enter race for Ajax defender Jorrel Hato?

Arsenal could join Liverpool in the pursuit of Ajax defender Jorrel Hato this summer, according to Fichajes.

The 19-year-old is one of the best young defenders in the Netherlands and he has been touted to join a bigger club.

Liverpool have identified him as a potential replacement for Andy Robertson at left-back, but face competition.

The Gunners are long-term admirers of the teenager and they have monitored him for the last couple of years.

Hato has previously admitted his dream of following Jurrien Timber to Arsenal. That could happen soon.

Arsenal consider him as a potential centre-back option. He could replace Jakub Kiwior in the first-team squad.

Kiwior has been linked with a return to the Italian top-flight. AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli are interested.

The Pole could finally head for the exit door this summer. The Gunners could sanction his sale for around £25m.

The club also plan to recoup £18m from Oleksandr Zinchenko's exit. They could use the funds to purchase Hato.
