Arsenal ready to make fresh bid for Viktor Gyokeres
Arsenal are ready to make a renewed transfer offer for Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres in the coming days, according to Portuguese outlet A Bola.
The Gunners are determined to land a marquee striker during the summer transfer window and they have identified two targets to fill the void.
RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko is the priority target for the Gunners, but there has been no progress with the hierarchy reluctant to meet the price.
Leipzig want between £68m and £85m to part ways with the 22-year-old, but the Gunners reportedly appear to value him at a much lesser figure.
Gyokeres, on the other hand, could be signed for around £68m. Arsenal have so far made an initial bid of £47m plus £8.5m in add-ons for him.
The Swede is reportedly determined to join the Gunners this summer and has already told Sporting that he will not return for pre-season training.
Arsenal are ready to make a fresh bid for the 27-year-old marksman, but it is expected to be below the reported price tag set by the Portuguese outfit.
