Arsenal agree terms with Gyokeres

Arsenal have agreed terms over a five-year contract with Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres ahead of a potential transfer this summer.

The Sweden international had a sensational 2024/25 campaign with Sporting, scoring 54 goals and providing 13 assists in all competitions.

He has been determined to join the Gunners for the last few weeks and the club have made progress in the striker's pursuit over the last 24 hours.

The London giants were initially keen on landing Benjamin Sesko, but have now changed their focus to Gyokeres after the lack of breakthrough.

Gyokeres has now agreed terms over a five-year contract worth £200,000 per week and he could join the club in pre-season training very soon.

Talks are ongoing between the clubs over the price tag. Sporting want £69m on the table, but the Gunners aim to sign him for a lesser fee upfront.

Gyokeres has been holding out for the Gunners over the past few weeks and his decision is set to be rewarded with a dream move to the club.
