Chelsea weigh up move for Mbappe's brother
Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly has been in contact with French club Lille with regard to a move for 18-year-old midfield starlet Ethan Mbappe, the brother of Kylian. Rumours from France suggest that Lille would be open to letting Mbappe depart, as long as a club match the reported 25 million euro price tag.
Ethan came through the ranks at the same youth side as Kylian, AS Bondy, before spending 7 years at Paris St Germain, appearing three times in Ligue 1. In 2024 Lille signed the youngster on a three-year deal, despite interest from abroad. Mbappe famously turned down Juventus and Real Madrid at that time. However, Chelsea are now ready to make a move for Mbappe and are said to be considering an eight-year deal for the 18-year-old starlet.
This comes as no surprise, as the Blues have made a habit of signing up and coming youth talent, and Mbappe is very highly regarded by Chelsea's youth and scouting departments.
This time around, Real Madrid have decided against a move for the young Mbappe, leaving Chelsea in pole position to secure a transfer deal before the end of the summer.
