Man Utd planning swoop for Benjamin Sesko

Sesko on Man Utd's radar

Manchester United are weighing up a serious move to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko during the summer transfer window, according to Bild.

The Red Devils have already bolstered their attacking department with the signings of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, and a new striker is the next priority for the Mancunian giants.

Sesko has recently emerged as a transfer option and reports claim that United are weighing up a genuine approach with the help of Christopher Vivell, who is the club's director of recruitment.

Vivell had a big role to play in signing Sesko at Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig and he could convince the Slovenian star to make the switch to Old Trafford before the window closes.

However, a deal won't be easy to pursue with Leipzig expected to demand at least €100m for the striker with the majority of the package upfront.

This proved a roadblock for Arsenal and may do so for United too. The Red Devils may choose to recruit an alternative in the coming weeks.
