Artem Dovbyk wanted by West Ham, Leeds and Sunderland
Premier League trio West Ham, Sunderland and Leeds United are planning bids for Artem Dovbyk, the Ukrainian international striker currently playing for Roma in Serie A. Having spent one year in Italy, Dovbyk is ready to depart for a fresh challenge and had previously had a hugely successful season in Spain with Girona.
28-year-old Dovbyk is available for a transfer after scoring twelve goals in 32 Serie A games for Roma, with Leeds reportedly leading the race marginally ahead of West Ham. Sunderland, on the other hand, are late competition having already signed Marc Guiu from Chelsea, the Black Cats are seeking at least one more attacking reinforcement.
The striker has 11 goals in 36 games for the Ukraine, and came through Dnipro's youth system before transferring to Midtjylland and then returning to Ukraine for three years. Spells in both Spain and Italy would then follow.
It is understood that Roma would be willing to accept a fee of around £22 million, having paid 38 million euros for the forward in August of last year.
