Ex-Man Utd star on his way to Fiorentina?

Former Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof could be on his way to Fiorentina, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The centre-back ended his long-term association with the Red Devils earlier this summer after failing to extend his contract beyond June.

He has been linked with a Premier League return with Everton, but reports claim that the Swede prefers a new adventure in Serie A.

Negotiations are advancing well with Fiorentina, and he could be reunited with former United goalkeeper David de Gea in Florence.

De Gea signed for the Serie A outfit on a free transfer in the summer of 2024 and recently put pen-to-paper on a three-year extension.

Lindelof had a good relationship on and off the playing field with De Gea, and the Spaniard could play a big role in convincing him.

Meanwhile, Christian Eriksen has yet to find a new club since his United release. He has been linked with a possible return to Ajax.
