Brentford to sign Max Beier before window closes
Brentford are hopeful that a deal can be arranged to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Maximilian Beier before the September 1st deadline, as the Bundesliga outfit are ready to sell the former Hoffenheim player. Last season Beier played 29 times in the Bundesliga, scoring eight goals, and is valued at around 15 million euros by his club.
Last year Beier made his full debut for Germany's national team, and has won a total of four caps for his country, and at just 22-years-old is expected to play many more times at the highest level. It is understood that Brentford want Beier as a replacement for Bryan Mbuemo, who departed for Man Utd earlier in the transfer window, and as a potential successor to Yoann Wissa, who could soon leave for Newcastle United.
Beier has four years remaining on his deal and could be available for a fee of around £27 million, with the youngster likely to be offered a guarantee of first-team football at the Gtech Community Stadium. It is understood that Beier will fly to England for talks on Friday morning.
