Bayern agree to sign Chelsea striker on loan
Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign striker Nicolas Jackson on loan with an option to buy next summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Senegal international was a mainstay upfront for the Blues for the last two seasons, but has fallen out of favour after the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap this summer.
He has now been permitted to join the German champions for an initial loan fee of 15 million euros. Bayern will have an option to purchase him for 80 million euros in future.
Jackson is likely to play second fiddle to Harry Kane in the ongoing campaign, but he could become the first-choice striker in the long run if the Englishman decides to leave.
Kane has been linked with a possible Premier League return in the summer of 2026. It remains to be seen whether Jackson can make sufficient impact to convince Bayern to buy him.
Chelsea are not expected to pursue a replacement for Jackson.
