Arsenal midfielder moves to Bundesliga club
Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has secured a permanent move to Bundesliga outfit Hamburger SV.
The Belgian has been out of contention with the Gunners for the last few years and has now been allowed to part ways.
After three unsuccessful loan spells away from Arsenal, the 25-year-old will now restart his career in the German top-flight.
Hamburger have just been promoted to the Bundesliga after a seven-year gap and Lokonga has a big challenge on his hands.
Injuries have hampered his progress over the past few years. The onus is on him to stay fit and prove his credentials at Hamburger.
If he were to impress, he could pursue a bigger challenge. Arsenal have sold him for a nominal fee with a high sell-on clause.
They stand to benefit if Lokonga were to move to a bigger club in the long term. Hopefully, he can stay unscathed hereon.
Alongside Lokonga, Reiss Nelson has likewise left the Gunners. He has signed for Brentford on loan with a buy option.
