RB Leipzig sign Conrad Harder
Red Bull Leipzig have sealed a deal to sign Denmark international striker Conrad Harder from Sporting Lisbon, with the German side paying 25 million euros up front and a further 2.5 million in performance-related payments. In signing Harder, the Bundesliga outfit have beaten Chelsea to the 20-year-old's coveted signature.
Harder began his career playing for Nordsjaelland in his home country, before making the move to Sporting in a transfer worth around 19 million euros in 2024.
Chelsea had been locked in talks with Sporting over the last few days, and had been expected to announce a transfer yesterday but a deal reportedly fell through after Harder chose to move to Germany instead of England.
It is understood that Harder has signed a five-year contract at RB Leipzig and leaves Lisbon after just one year at the club.
It is another big loss for Sporting, having already sold Viktor Gyokeres to Arsenal this summer, and seeing Harder as their primary striker for the current campaign. Harder had already appeared four times for Sporting, scoring one goal in 2025-26.
