Wolves seal Tolu Arokodare signing

Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed a transfer for Tolu Arokodare in a package worth £23.4 million, with the Nigerian international signing a four year deal at Molineux. Highly rated in Belgium, the 6 foot 6 striker scored 36 goals in 94 Jupiler League games, and will give Jorgen Strand Larsen competition for a starting berth at his new club.
The 24-year-old Nigerian began his career at Valmiera in Latvia between 2019 to 2023, with loan spells at FC Koln and French side Amiens in between. A move to Belgium followed, with Genk giving Tolu the opportunity to play as their first choice striker.
Arokodare has never hidden his plan to one day play in England, and Wolves have secured a top talent in signing the Lagos-born attacker.
It is understood that Wolves have beaten Newcastle to the Belgian top flight's golden boot winner last season, and also last minute interest from French club Marseille and German side Borussia Monchengladbach.
The striker told Wolves' website: “It was time already. I had my mind set here, this is where I wanted to be, because I played in Germany, France, Belgium, and I think it was just here missing, and finally I’m happy to be here.”
