Chelsea striker joins Fatih Karagumruk on loan
Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana has joined Turkish club Fatih Karagumruk on a season-long loan agreement.
The Ivorian has been with the Blues for the past few years, but he has been unable to break into the first-team plans under different managers.
Fofana has now been allowed to join Karagumruk on a temporary basis. The Turkish outfit have confirmed that they have an option to buy him.
Hence, the former Molde man could leave the Blues for good next year.
Chelsea recently suffered a huge setback with Liam Delap picking up a hamstring injury. Marc Guiu was recalled from his loan at Sunderland as a result.
The Blues initially planned to cancel Nicolas Jackson's loan move to Bayern Munich instead, but the Senegalese star was adamant on joining the German giants.
Jackson was eventually permitted to make the switch. Guiu will provide back-up for Joao Pedro upfront. Fofana was loaned out as he was deemed surplus to requirements by the Blues' hierarchy.
