Why Federico Chiesa won't face Galatasaray tomorrow

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has revealed that Federico Chiesa has not travelled to face Galatasaray tomorrow due to a little niggle.
The Italy international came off the bench against Crystal Palace last weekend. He scored a crucial equaliser, but Palace won the game at the death.
Chiesa was back in training earlier today, but he was not part of the 21-man travelling squad to Istanbul to face Galatasaray in the Champions League.
When asked about his absence, Slot confirmed a niggle for the attacker, but he could be fit in time to face Chelsea in the Premier League on the road.
Slot said: "He got a little niggle, I think is the word you use in England, in the last game against Palace.
"He tried it today [Monday] but he couldn’t finish the (training) session, so we decided not to take him because in a few days it’s Chelsea."
Liverpool are just two points ahead of second-placed Arsenal in the league heading into the game at Stamford Bridge, where they have not won since 2020.
