David Ornstein drops Gareth Southgate to Man Utd update

Former England manager Gareth Southgate is not in contention to replace Ruben Amorim as Manchester United's next head coach, according to journalist David Ornstein.
The Red Devils have made a dismal start to the season and have picked up only seven points thus far. They face a must-win game against Sunderland at home tomorrow.
A defeat against the Black Cats could pave the way for Amorim's exit. Amidst this, Southgate has been linked with the club and has been mentioned as a frontrunner too.
Ornstein has now put an end to the speculation by clarifying that the Red Devils won't be hiring Southgate if Amorim were to be sacked next week.
INEOS have a good relationship with Southgate, but they have no plans of hiring the former England boss to succeed Amorim at the helm this term.
Crystal Palace's Oliver Glasner has also been linked in recent days, given he plays with a similar formation as Amorim (3-4-2-1) with a lot of success.
