Stunning: Alan Shearer blown away by Man Utd star

Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has picked Manchester United wing-back Amad Diallo in his Premier League Team of the Week.

The Red Devils continued their unbeaten run in the top-flight last weekend with a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest at City Ground.

Amad was the pick of the players. He scored a stunning long-range equaliser in the second half and nearly bagged the winner too.

The Ivorian was unlucky as Murillo made a goal-line clearance.

Shearer has now picked Amad in his Team of the Week saying: "A constant threat throughout.

"Man Utd needed a moment of magic to earn a point at Forest and his stunning late strike provided it."

United have dropped to eighth in the standings after the stalemate at City Ground. However, they are just one point behind the top four.

There is barely any difference between the teams in third and eighth and a win this weekend could take United into the Champions League places.

United take on Tottenham Hotspur on the road on Saturday afternoon.
