Manchester United could enter the transfer market for a new striker in case Benjamin Sesko has suffered a concerning knee injury.

The Red Devils signed Sesko from RB Leipzig over the summer and it coincided with Rasmus Hojlund leaving for Napoli on loan with a conditional obligation to buy.

Sesko has made a decent impression with two goals and one assist from 12 outings, but his availability is uncertain for the near future after his knee injury at Tottenham.

United don't believe the Slovenian has suffered anything serious and he will be further examined by the medical staff. In case he is sidelined for a few months, it could force the club to enter the transfer market.

Manager Ruben Amorim does not seem to trust Joshua Zirkzee and he has played Matheus Cunha as a makeshift marksman whenever Sesko has started on the bench.

The club could enter for a new marksman in the New Year if Sesko is out for some period. They could sanction the sale of Zirkzee to recoup funds for a new centre-forward.
