Ruben Amorim makes midfield transfer demand

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has urged the club's hierarchy to recruit a new defensive midfielder when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The Portuguese tactician has turned around the club's fortunes this campaign, and they are currently just one point behind the Champions League places after 11 league games.
Casemiro has been the regular number six under Amorim this term. Manuel Ugarte is the immediate deputy, but the Uruguayan has been error-prone on several occasions.
Amidst this, Amorim wants to bring in a marquee holding midfielder in January. The club have no standout targets at the moment, considering the financials involved.
Brighton & Hove Albion star Carlos Baleba is out of United's reach, given the South Coast outfit have no plans of sanctioning his sale for less than £115 million this winter.
The same goes for Nottingham Forest sensation Elliot Anderson, and the Red Devils may have to find a cut-price but effective solution such as Sevilla's Lucien Agoume.
