Chelsea have clear stance on Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr - Romano

Chelsea won't sign Rodrygo and Vinicius

Chelsea are unlikely to make an approach for Real Madrid duo Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior next year, according to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Blues have spent plenty on funds on attacking recruits, and they continue to be linked with some big names.

Rodrygo and Vinicius are among those, but Romano has dismissed the prospect of the Blues signing either player.

The respected journalist clarified that neither player is on the Blues' wishlist and mentioned that the club are going in a different direction with a tight salary structure.

He said: "Rodrygo is not even on the list of Chelsea. The same with Vinicius Jr. Chelsea are going in a different direction. Chelsea do not want to change the salary structure."

Chelsea are focused on landing young and emerging talent. They are no longer on the look out for experienced marquee signings, who would command huge weekly wages.

Hence, the club's faithful can't expect them to sign Rodrygo or Vinicius even if they become available for a transfer in January or next summer.
