'Quite good': Enzo Maresca sends message on Chelsea star

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has heaped praise on striker Liam Delap following his goal against Barcelona in the Champions League last night.
The Englishman started the 2-0 Premier League win over Burnley last weekend, but he began on the bench yesterday as Pedro Neto operated as the makeshift marksman.
Despite this, he made a crucial impact coming off the bench, scoring the third goal. Speaking after the game, Maresca was delighted for the former Ipswich Town man, who netted his first goal of the season.
Maresca said: "Liam also needed this kind of moment, goal, because he's back from injury. I think against Burnley, he was quite good, but he's a No.9, he's a striker, and they need a goal."
Chelsea have temporarily moved to fifth in the league phase of the Champions League. They need to finish in the top eight after eight games in order to directly qualify for the round of 16.
The Blues will be in Premier League action against Arsenal at home this weekend. They will be eyeing their first win over the Gunners since 2021.
