Palmer could make Chelsea squad for Arsenal game

Chelsea playmaker Cole Palmer could make the matchday squad when the Blues entertain Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.

The England international has endured an injury-plagued campaign with the Blues. He was recently sidelined for two months with a groin injury before accidentally fracturing his toe at home.

Palmer returned to full training earlier this week, but was deemed unfit to face Barcelona in Europe. However, there is an outside chance that he could make the matchday squad for the London derby.

The Manchester City graduate is unlikely to make the starting XI due to the lack of sufficient match fitness, but could make a late cameo if required.

Chelsea are currently six points behind leaders Arsenal in the Premier League standings and have a wonderful chance of reducing the deficit by inflicting a second defeat of the season on the Gunners.

The Blues are winless in the last seven meetings with five losses and two defeats. They will fancy beating Arsenal this time around.
