Liverpool now leading Spurs in race for Semenyo

Liverpool are reportedly ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the pursuit of Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo ahead of the New Year.
The Reds have had a dreadful defence of their Premier League title. They had 15 points after the opening five games, but have picked up only six points from the next eight matches.
As a result, the Anfield club are nine points behind league leaders Arsenal and have much work to do over the coming months in order to make up ground on the north London heavyweights.
Amidst this, Football Insider claim that the Reds could have the upper hand over Spurs in the race to land Semenyo from the Cherries in January.
Semenyo, who has managed nine goal contributions this term, has a release clause worth £65m that can be triggered in the first 10 days next month.
Liverpool are seriously considering the option. Semenyo could be seen as a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah on the right side of attack.
