Chelsea to make January move for Antoine Semenyo?

Semenyo to Chelsea?

Chelsea are also in the race to sign Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, according to ESPN journalist Mark Ogden.

The Blues have had a good Premier League season with 24 points from 13 games. They are on course for another top-four finish.

However, the club's hierarchy have higher ambitions for the campaign and have their sights on winning some form of silverware.

Ogden has now revealed that the Blues are not actively pursuing a deal for Semenyo, but they can't be completely ruled out of the race.

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool seem the front-runners at the moment, but Chelsea could make an offer of their own for the winger.

Semenyo can play on either wing or upfront. He has registered six goals and three assists in the ongoing league season for the Cherries.

He has a release clause worth £65 million in his current contract. The clause will be active during the first 10 days of January, as per reports.
