Antoine Semenyo wanted Arsenal transfer in January

Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo was open to joining Arsenal during the winter transfer window, according to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.
The Ghanaian star has had a fine start to the campaign with the Cherries and he has bagged eight goals and three assists in the Premier League thus far.
Semenyo has a release clause worth 65 million pounds in his current deal and reports claim that Manchester City are discussing terms with the Cherries to sign him.
Amidst this, Ornstein has revealed that Arsenal would have been favourites to land Semenyo, had they made an approach to his representatives.
Semenyo is a boyhood Arsenal fan and would have preferred to join them next month. However, the Gunners only considered a summer deal.
The 25-year-old has a clear desire to move next month, and he has therefore agreed personal terms with Man City ahead of a potential transfer.
A deal is expected to go through in the first week of January.
