Man Utd serious contenders to sign £100m midfielder

Manchester United are deemed as serious contenders to land Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson at the end of the campaign, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils are determined to bolster their midfield department with a marquee signing this year and they have identified multiple targets over the past few months.
Carlos Baleba was initially the top target for the Red Devils amid his good progress at Brighton & Hove Albion. Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton has likewise been on their radar.
Romano has now revealed that Anderson is topping the club's wishlist at the moment, but he is unlikely to leave Forest until the end of the season.
Furthermore, the Tricky Trees are unlikely to sanction his sale on the cheap and they are expected to hold out for at least £100 million to part ways with his services, as per Romano's update on Givemesport.
Anderson has also been linked with Liverpool and Manchester City, and United must be pro-active to land his services ahead of their fierce rivals.
