Man Utd striker pushing for exit despite Amorim exit

Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee is pushing for a move away from the Red Devils this winter despite the dismissal of manager Ruben Amorim from the helm, according to Il Messaggero.
Amorim was recently axed from the head coach position after a series of draws against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United. Darren Fletcher has been placed on interim charge at the moment.
Zirkzee came off the bench in the recent 2-2 draw against Burnley on the road, but the Dutchman is still determined to pursue a new challenge away from the Mancunian giants in the coming days.
The Netherlands international has already agreed personal terms over a four-year deal with Roma in Serie A and he is confident of being an undisputed starter for the Giallorossi going forward.
Talks are ongoing behind the scenes, but Zirkzee is keen on making the switch and won't change his stance despite Amorim's sacking. A loan deal with an obligation to buy could materialise soon.
