Man Utd enter talks to sign RB Leipzig winger

Manchester United have entered talks with RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, according to Caught Offside.

The Red Devils are determined to bolster their frontline this year, and a new wide player is one of their utmost priorities.

They were keen on landing Antoine Semenyo, but the Ghanaian chose to join Manchester City from Bournemouth instead.

It is now claimed that United are discussing terms with Diomande after receiving permission from his club Leipzig.

However, a deal is unlikely to happen during the ongoing transfer window, given Leipzig are eyeing a hefty fee for him.

The Bundesliga giants are reluctant to sell for less than £87 million, and won't provide a discount during the winter period.

Diomande signed for Leipzig from Leganes at the start of the campaign, and he has already managed 11 goal contributions.

He is presently with the Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations. They are scheduled to face Morocco in the quarter-final tomorrow.
