Sneijder: Robben is the threat

Real Madrid midfielder Wes Sneijder has backed his international and club team mate Arjen Robben to be a serious threat this Euro 2008 tournament. The former Chelsea man has been in outstanding form for the Galacticos this year.

“The coach has a luxury problem in his hands,” Sneijder told De Telegraaf newspaper. “Of course we must wait and see how he will solve it. But I think it’s very important that Arjen plays.”

“One of the three offensive midfielders must have pace. Moreover, Robben doesn’t defend and he showed that even in the highly competitive games he’s played in Spain. But he was already good and he’s becoming better and better.”
