Arsenal pushing to sign Brighton midfielder?

Arsenal are among the leading contenders to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Jack Hinshelwood during the summer transfer window.

The Gunners bolstered their midfield ranks last summer with the signings of Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard. The former has been an undisputed starter in the Premier League for the north London giants.

Norgaard has likewise impressed whenever he has played. Despite this, the club continued to be linked with new midfielders and reports claim that Hinshelwood has emerged as a top target for the Gunners.

The 20-year-old is primarily a central midfielder but has also made several appearances as a right-back. His progress has caught the eye of Mikel Arteta's side but they are likely to face competition from elsewhere.

Premier League title rivals Manchester City are also keeping tabs on the talented ace, who could be permitted to leave the Seagulls for a package of around £45m when the transfer window reopens later this year.
