Newcastle chase Aimar

Newcastle United are ready to make a move for Real Zaragoza midfielder Pablo Aimar this summer. The player is set to be allowed to leave at a cut price.

Kevin Keegan has already hinted he would like to bring in some big name players this summer, and the acquisition of Aimar would be a big one for the club.

Aimar is valued by Zaragoza at about £5 millon and could be allowed to leave if the price is met by the Toon this summer.

Other clubs are likely to be in for the former River Plate and Valencia man though, with Italian side Fiorentina also considering a move.
