Man Utd can sign Brazilian star for £39m

Manchester United can land the services of Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Joao Gomes for £39 million once the Midlands outfit are relegated from the Premier League this term.

Wolves are currently 13 points adrift of safety with just seven game left and they look destined to return to the Championship. This could trigger several relegation release clauses and Gomes could be one of those, who could leave for a knockdown price this summer.

United have been keeping a close eye on his situation for the past few months and reports claim that he could be signed for around £39 million once Wolves drop down to the second tier.

The Red Devils are not alone in the pursuit of the Brazilian ace and could face competition from other elite European clubs. Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig are likewise monitoring his situation.

Gomes would ideally prefer to stay in the Premier League, and this could boost United's prospects of signing him during the off-season.
