Arsenal star to return from injury vs Newcastle?

Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber could make his injury comeback during the Premier League clash against Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The Gunners are currently just three points ahead of Manchester City at the top of the standings, but the gap could be down to zero if the Cityzens beat Burnley in midweek.

The Cityzens will go top of the standings on goal difference too if that happens. Hence, the Gunners can ill-afford any more slips and must be perfect for the rest of the season.

They are scheduled to host the Magpies on Saturday, and ahead of the game, the club could receive a timely injury boost on right-back Jurrien Timber.

Timber has been sidelined since the last international break with a thigh issue, but the Dutchman will be back in training in the lead up to the Magpies game.

It remains to be seen whether he makes the matchday squad.
