Arsenal eyeing deal for Sporting CP right-back

Arsenal are reportedly keen on landing the signature of Sporting CP right-back Ivan Fresneda during the summer transfer window.

The north London giants are expected to make multiple changes at the end of the campaign, and a new right-back could be one of the top priorities.

Ben White will enter the last two years of his contract this summer and reports claim that the Gunners are open to cashing in on his services.

Amidst this, Fresneda has emerged as a top target for the Gunners. He was previously on their radar during his time with Real Valladolid in Spain.

Sporting CP won the race for his signature back then, but his progress over the past few years has convinced the Gunners to make a fresh move.

Fresneda has dazzled with his overlapping runs as well as defensive contributions. He has the traits to become a top-class right-back in future.

It could take at least £40m to land his signature from Sporting CP.
