Man Utd eyeing shock move for Brazilian midfielder

Manchester United are eyeing a shock move for Botafogo star Danilo as they seek to reinforce the midfield department this summer.

The Red Devils are set to offload Casemiro when his contract expires on June 30. The club have already made an announcement.

United ideally want to land a couple of holding midfielders, and reports claim that they are exploring a move for Botafogo's Danilo.

The 25-year-old previously had a mixed run of performances with Nottingham Forest in the Premier League between 2023 and 2025.

He returned to Brazilian football with Botafogo last summer and has managed to revive his form over the course of the campaign.

Danilo is a strong candidate to make Brazil's World Cup squad and could yet secure a return to the Premier League later this year.

United are one of the clubs monitoring his performances. They have made initial contact for the midfielder valued at 40 million euros.

Fulham have also been credited with an interest in him.
