Man Utd favourites to sign £39m Brazilian midfielder

Manchester United are reportedly favourites to land Atalanta midfielder Ederson ahead of Atletico Madrid this summer.

The Red Devils are preparing for a midfield spending spree, and they could bring in three signings in the department.

United have had their sights on Ederson in the past, and reports claim that a formal bid could be lodged in the near future.

Atletico have already agreed on terms with the 26-year-old, but they have no desire to meet the £39m asking price for him.

This has opened the door for other elite European clubs and Tuttosport claim that United are the frontrunners presently.

Ederson would be a fabulous signing for United. He has completed 89 percent of his passes this term with five duels won per game.

He has also made five recoveries and two tackles per outing. He would be a quality addition to the squad with Casemiro set to depart.

Casemiro will leave when his contract expires on June 30.
