Arsenal want to sign Atletico star for left wing role?

Arsenal are reportedly looking at Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez to bolster the left wing department in the next transfer window.

Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli are the specialist options in the position at the moment, but the pair could be sold in the summer.

The Gunners have started the process of pursuing replacements and reports claim that manager Mikel Arteta wants Alvarez as one of the signings.

The Argentine has played as a regular striker for most of his career, but has made occasional appearances on the right and left wing at his former clubs.

That seems to have caught the eye of the Gunners boss, and he is now keen on bringing him back to the Premier League at the end of the campaign.

Paris Saint-Germain are set to be the Gunners' main challengers for the World Cup winner as Barcelona are unlikely to afford his services.
