Arsenal & Chelsea target on his way to Barcelona

Arsenal and Chelsea target Anthony Gordon is set to join Barcelona on a permanent transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Englishman had a productive 2025/26 campaign with Newcastle United despite their struggles in the Premier League.

Gordon made 22 goal contributions across all competitions, and he has now decided to pursue a new challenge abroad.

The attacker has already agreed personal terms with the Blaugrana, and talks are currently advanced to finalise his transfer.

Newcastle have accepted an initial package of 70 million euros from Barcelona, and he is expected to report for a medical soon.

The news is a huge blow for the Blues and Gunners, who had him on their radar to bolster the left-wing department this summer.

Chelsea and Arsenal may have to explore alternative targets. They both seem keen on landing Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa.

Rogers is widely expected to leave the Villans in the summer, and he could be prised away for a package of around £80 million.
