Newcastle United eyeing swoop for 24yo Chelsea striker

Newcastle United are exploring a move for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Magpies looked at the possibility of signing the Senegal international last summer, but he was determined to join Bayern Munich on loan.

Jackson eventually got his wish. The 24-year-old had a decent spell with the Bavarian giants, contributing 10 goals across all competitions.

The former Villarreal man has now returned to the Blues, but the hierarchy are quite clear that he has no future at the club next campaign.

They are prepared to sanction his departure for around £45 million and it is claimed that the Magpies could make a fresh move for him.

Newcastle had a tough 2025/26 season, finishing in the lower half of the Premier League standings. Nick Woltemade had a good start upfront, but struggled thereafter.

Meanwhile, Yoane Wissa was a huge disappointment after his switch from Brentford. One of the duo could be offloaded before the club make a move for Jackson this summer.
