Ederson makes Brazil World Cup squad

Manchester United's upcoming signing Ederson has been called up by Brazil for the World Cup following an injury sustained by Wesley last night.

The Red Devils recently reached a verbal agreement with Atalanta to land Ederson, and he will formally join the club after his medical next month.

It now appears his official move could be delayed further, as he has been called up by Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti to fill the void left by Wesley.

Ederson was initially expected to go on vacation before reporting for his medical on July 1, but that could be delayed by three weeks if Brazil reach the World Cup final.

United's faithful should be delighted for the 26-year-old, but the only downside is the fact that Ederson could miss a major chunk of pre-season training as a result.

He may have less time to adapt to the Premier League's higher intensity, given he has been playing in Serie A, which is more tactical and less intense.
