Man Utd stance on signing Lewis-Skelly

Manchester United are not exploring a move for Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly despite the recent speculation in the media.

Lewis-Skelly struggled for minutes during the last campaign, but he played a prominent role in midfield in the final month of the season.

The youngster can operate as a left-back or in midfield, and it was recently claimed that United have a long-standing interest.

This has now been dismissed by Standard Sport, who report that the Red Devils are not pursuing a deal for the 19-year-old.

United are instead keen on landing Lewis Hall from Newcastle United, but could likewise miss out on signing the Englishman.

The Magpies consider the 21-year-old 'untouchable' and have no plans of parting ways with him during the transfer window.

United may have to look elsewhere to strengthen their left-back department ahead of the league season, which starts this month.
