Man Utd eyeing deal for Barcelona star

Manchester United have made contact with super-agent Jorge Mendes over the possibility of signing Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde this summer, according to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Red Devils have focused on bolstering their midfield. They have already signed Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans and could land Carlos Baleba soon.

The next priority could be a left-back for the Mancunian giants and Fabrizio Romano reveals that the club are exploring a move for Balde from the Blaugrana.

Contact has been established with his agent, Mendes, for the player, but as things stand, nothing is likely to materialise. Balde is very happy at the Catalan giants, and he is not contemplating an exit.

He is unlikely to entertain a move away from the Spanish champions unless the Blaugrana personally push him through the exit door. Even then, it could take a premium fee to prise the defender away.

It could take at least £43m to land his services this summer.
