Manchester City have entered formal negotiations with Chelsea for the transfer of midfielder Enzo Fernandez before the transfer deadline tomorrow.

The Cityzens have already bolstered their midfield with Elliot Anderson and Ayyoub Bouaddi, but they are eyeing another experienced acquisition before the transfer window closes.

Fernandez has emerged as the prime target because of his close working relationship with manager Enzo Maresca, and the Cityzens are now pushing to get a deal done by tomorrow.

Chelsea previously valued the Argentine at around 120 million pounds, but they are now expected to demand a much higher fee. Man City are still optimistic of lowering the final figure.

The 25-year-old has agreed personal terms over a five-year contract with the Mancunian giants, and the move is likely to go through with the Blues on the hunt for a replacement.

Monaco's Lamine Camara has emerged as a prime target for the Blues to replace Fernandez. They are also looking at Roma star Manu Kone as a midfield addition.
