Arsenal stance on transfer deadline day revealed

Arsenal are not actively pursuing a new signing before the transfer deadline at 11pm tonight.
The Gunners have had a good summer transfer window, but there is frustration among the fanbase due to the lack of recruitment in the final third, which was widely expected.
Christos Tzolis remains the only left-wing addition to the squad. Leandro Trossard was sold to Besiktas earlier this summer, while Gabriel Martinelli is widely expected to join Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal.
The club explored a deal for Lyon's Malick Fofana earlier last week, but the Gunners have decided against meeting Lyon's £30m price tag for the Belgian, given manager Mikel Arteta is not convinced by him.
Hence, it appears the Gunners are probably done for the transfer window and may revisit the transfer market at the turn of the year. Barring a surprise market opportunity, Arsenal don't plan to make anymore signings before the transfer window closes in less than four hours.
